Personal Finance Journey

Personal Finance Journey

I previously thought I would be a nun, veterinarian, or architect, and sometimes I wonder if I chose the right path, but then I remind myself that the paths I didn’t take are none of my business. When I am asked why I chose finance as my major, I give a short and not true response because it’s a complicated story, but I would like to share what pulled me into the world of finance.

A few years ago, my dad passed away and several business men came to speak with my mom and I about our finances and what the next steps were. During these conversations, I did not understand a word they were saying. Thankfully, they were kind and handled everything to suit our best interests, but that feeling of helplessness was memorable. I made it a personal goal to understand financial and business terminology so I can make confident decisions in the future and support others who rely on professionals to guide them toward the best choices for their needs.

I don’t know why we like to make finance complicated and a sore subject. I think the more you know about it, the more you find ways to benefit your life. I have yet to find a financial podcast or influencer that delivers quality content while resonating with my demographic. Therefore, my goal to you is to make finance more accessible, pleasurable, and easy to understand.
